Privacy Policy
We collect as little as the shop needs to work — and nothing more. This page explains exactly what that means.
Who we are
Tenebrescence, New York, United States. For anything on this page: hello@tenebrescence.com.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, shipping address, email and phone number — because the parcel has to reach you and the courier may need to call. Your payment is handled entirely by our payment provider; card numbers never touch our servers and we never see them.
When you join the newsletter: your email address. Nothing else.
When you write to us by email or Instagram: whatever you choose to tell us, used only to answer you.
In your browser: your bag is stored locally on your device (localStorage) so it survives a page refresh. That data stays on your phone or computer — it is not sent to us until you check out.
What we use it for
To fulfil and deliver your order, to answer your messages, to send the newsletter you asked for, and to meet legal obligations such as accounting and tax records. That is the complete list.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your data — to anyone, ever. We don't run advertising trackers or marketing pixels. We don't profile you, score you, or follow you around the internet. We don't send marketing emails unless you subscribed, and every newsletter carries a working unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
Only the parties required to get the parcel to your door: the shipping carrier receives your name, address and phone number; the payment provider processes your payment under its own security standards. If the law requires us to disclose information, we comply — and nothing beyond that.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your question.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except records the law obliges us to keep). One email to hello@tenebrescence.com is enough — no forms, no fees. If you are in the EU, UK or a region with specific data-protection rights, those rights apply in full.
Cookies
We use only what is technically necessary for the site to function. No advertising cookies, no third-party marketing scripts. If we ever add analytics, it will be privacy-respecting, aggregated, and this page will say so first.
Changes
If this policy changes, the current version will always live at this address, with the date below.
